All it knows is that control is snatched away from it (really doesn't know that either) and that some time later it magically is at the same point it was before. The time in between was a blank. Now VLT says, um, where was I, and continues on its merry way. I guess I could probably kludge it somehow (and I probably will) but there isn't much you can do about it by way of scripts. If you really really want it anyway, tell xprzmodem to *not* start downloads automatically, and start the downloads by hand. It will then go "through proper channels" and ping twice at the end.
