Bob, you'll be happy to know that Version 1.1 of Imagine, now available, does support acceleration/deceleration on paths, as well as other substantial touchups, like "hide" points not reappearing until you go back to the object mode, a "fracture" mode like Sculpt's "subdivide", a "split" function that isolates selected points from the object by disconnecting them from it, a new camoflage texture, and more...
