Message-ID: <1991Mar23.011729.19035@magnus.acs.ohio-state.edu> Date: 23 Mar 91 01:17:29 GMT Sender: news@magnus.acs.ohio-state.edu Organization: The Ohio State University Lines: 18 Nntp-Posting-Host: hpuxa.acs.ohio-state.edu Recently I was powering up the ole' 1k and I happened to turn on the llllllllole 2400 baud modem first. I glanced at something that caught my eye, and saw that the LED in my Amiga (The Power indicator) was glowing at about half brilliance; The computer was off! Trying it a couple times, I realized that the modlem was somehow sending power to this light through the RS232 port! (Process of elimination; I take off the cable, the light doesn't show up...He always was a smart boy). Any problems this might cause? What exactly is goin' on? Any cause for concern?
