Still it was an important lesson to read the release notes thoroughly. I ended up solving the problem by grabbing routed off an SR10.3 machine and it seems to be working fine. The good routed is also available as patch m0108. It's always a good idea to get the patch release notes (often available by ftp from ftp.eb.ele.tue.nl) and look through them.
