I wonder if your problem is not as much lint as the new
ANSI-compatible header files.  Using 10.3 lint, I successfully
lint'ed stdio.h on a 10.2 node, but had the problems you 
described on a 10.3 node.  (Clarification - I ran everything 
ON a 10.3 node;  using first a 10.2 stdio.h, then a 10.3
stdio.h). 

You might try using the old header file.
