It's probably a religious thing. "On the seventh day, God rested." And that, we all know, was the "sabbath", or Saturday. And "Early on the first day of the week, Jesus rose from the dead." And that, we all know, was Easter Sunday. Even though the modern concept of "weekend" is rapidly changing how we envisage the calendar week, and surely the business week begins on Monday in modern life, nevertheless old traditions die hard. For this reasons, most algorithms call Sunday 0, Monday 1, and so on thru Saturday which is 6. Unfortunately, Jim Donnelly's DOW function calls Sunday 7, which takes the "weekend" concept to its logical conclusion... -Joe Horn-
