If not, you could get one or more of the following: [1] Unexpected program behaviour ranging from crashing system to uncontrollable activities (??). [2] Loss of data or storing corrupted data. [3] Loss of hair ?? (trying to figure out what is going on ;-)) ... (may be more ...). Because by turning off parity check, your system doesn't have the hardware feature to catch any memory failure. And any such failure will shows up and something else dubious. Anyway, I've got a friend who uses his PC system with no parity for more than a year now and he's fine.
