I have a 386-33 Mhz computer and have 4 MB onboard ram. When the computer boots it checks the 4MB, but when it shows the current CMOS config it says that I have 640K base memory and 3096K extended memory. I have set shadow ram for bios and Video Bios. I am using AMI bios and have a Trident 1MB VGA card. Does any one know why it says 3096K extended memory and not 3096+384K extended memory. Also what is shadow ram compared to normal ram. Does it use normal ram but it is only reserved for BIOS? Regard, Michael
