Well, I told my caching program to leave 75K of extended memory for applications. Now, I rebooted, and 4dos says XMS swapping initialized (I use the /S:B parameter), but then I ran Telix and jumped to dos. It said 4dos XMS swapping (20K) or something very similar. anyway, I can change directories and such, but then if I got to run a small program, such as ls, or my memory mapper, it runs the program but never returns to the prompt, and the system is locked up, I have to reboot (via reset button, C-A-D no worky). What is going on here? Is it because I don't have a real XMS driver (only HIMEM) and 4dos is getting confused or what? -- Chris Bailey :: baileyc@tramp.Colorado.EDU :: University of Colorado Boulder Ride fast! take chances! but tread lightly!
