I consider backup/restore almost evil. Does anyone know who the individuals are who wrote these abominations? They deserve a rubber chicken award (Tm). A point worth noting, however, is that DOS 3.3 can restore backups made with 3.2, but not vice versa. Hopefully, Dos versions > 3.3 are also backward compatible in terms of the backup/restore kluge commands, but I haven't verified this. -- Robert C.
