Has anyone had any experience with using NEC's computer controlled VCR and
NEC's software for the Macintosh?  

I've tried running the software on my MAC IIfx (8 meg, 6.0.5, without
Suitcase or INITs) but I can't get the software to recognize the fact that
the VCR is connected.  Thinking it might be the cable, I fired up a simple
terminal emulator program to talk to the serial ports, and I was able to
properly converse with the VCR.

Any ideas?
