Message-ID: <91082.112944APPLEREP@MTUS5.BITNET> Date: 23 Mar 91 16:29:44 GMT Organization: Computing Technology Services, Michigan Technological Univ. Lines: 18 Howdy folks! I have someone who would like to convert an office over to Macintosh. (They are currently using a Compaq 286 and a Victor 9000.) Part of their set-up is a daisywheel printer that they use for doing multi-part forms. I heard that a product from LaCie called Silverplatter would let them share serial devices on the network (yes, the printer does have a serial port). So, does anyone have any experience with using Silverplatter with a daisywheel printer? Any conflicts with the daisywheel driver you can get from Microsoft for Word? Is that driver a general purpose driver, or does it just work with Word? Would SuperLaserSpool work with such a set-up for spooling? Is a para- graph with only questions in it grammatically legal? Thanks alot for the help, Tom Amberg Michigan Tech
