I don't get it. It's bad enough that one has to come back from warm southern florida to cold and rainy New Haven, CT; does it really have to get worse? Apparently so. :-( Well, here's the scoop: I turned on my computer and my HD (Internal... the one that came w/ my SE) wouldn't boot. It would spin (just like you would expect it to), but it wouldn't boot. I tried to use MacTools Deluxe's 'Rescue' to no avail (it wouldn't find the HD). So, I decided that I would just format the bloody thing and restore the files off of a recent backup. Well... that didn't work either. Apple's Hard Drive formatter tells me that it can't find a suitable SCSI device to format. *sigh* Any ideas??? Any and all help would be *greatly* appreciated. Please respond by email as it is sometimes difficult to wade through all the messages here. --Doug -- -- Doug Bitting | "And we know that in all things God works PO Box 3043 Yale Station | for the good of those who love him..."
