I know all about using sound resource, but the project I'm working on has too many sounds to just attach resources all over the place. We currently have a version working using a DigiDesign AudioMedia card and 16-bit sound files, but that just isn't a standard configuration. We need to find a way to read 8-bit sound files that can be played back on any old Mac. Please email me, and I'll post if there seems to be enough interest.
