The Speed Disk utility will move files around to make them contiguous. $50.00 is a good price for those tools. The "red" emergency disk does not work directly with a IIsi - it comes with a version of the OS that does not recognize a IIsi (and probably won't recognize a LC either); I had to copy my system file to a HD (1.44 MB) disk, since 6.0.7 & Norton > 800K... The File Doctor (I think that's what it's called) fixed a problem that I had with my file system, and I use the Speed Disk utility about every week or so. Just to check the status of the disk. Optimizing takes about 5 minutes or less on an 80 MB disk with about 35-40MB in use. They say to turn color off to make it run faster, but it is more fun to watch in color :->. -- Ron Crocker Motorola Radio-Telephone Systems Group, Cellular Infrastructure Group (708) 632-4752 [FAX: (708) 632-4430] crocker@mot.com or uunet!motcid!crocker
