Message-ID: <1991Mar22.192821.3221@waikato.ac.nz> Date: 22 Mar 91 19:28:21 +1300 Organization: University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand Lines: 23 One of the TrueType-related packages on apple.com contains version "6.1" of all the old familiar printer drivers (ImageWriter, LaserWriter etc). I know the LaserWriter driver has had major enhancements done to it for the TrueType support. I'm just wondering about the other drivers. I had a brief look at the ImageWriter 6.1 driver with ResEdit, and noticed the following: * colour icons for use with Finder 7.0 (whoop-de-do...) * "balloon help" text for use with System 7.0 * "Print" button in print job dialog, instead of "OK" * the PDEF code resources are slightly different in size from the 2.7 version (but not the DRVR). Are there any release notes for these new drivers, describing the bug fixes and feature enhancements? I'd like to know if it's worth upgrading people or not.
