I'd like to know if it's worth >upgrading people or not. I haven't seen any official documents, but here's what I've been told: - LW 6.1 does not user Laser Prep any more. Only the necessary PostScript for each job is sent. - As a direct result of this, from 6.1 onward, new versions of the LaserWriter will not cause eternal-printer-reset-hell during the migration time period. Therefore LW 7.0 and 6.1 can peacefully co-exist when printing to the same printer. This feature alone makes it worth upgrading, especially for larger sites. - Due to hard-wired code in the AppleShare Print Server, Apple supplies a dummy Laser Prep for 6.1; it doesn't really do anything. - The PS 'Print To Disk' item is now a visiable radio button and not a cunningly hidden check box. - Driver option selections seem to 'stick' now. If you select 'Color/Greyscale' it will stay selected until you select 'Black & White'. Hope this helps. ______________________________________________________________________ Stephan Somogyi 1/8 of the world's population, 2/3 of the lawyers MacUser
