I cannot find anything about zapping the pram.

I understand that doing so resets various parameters and that it
can be done partially or fully and that to do the full zap
one presses command, option, shift and then chooses the control
panel.

Where is something written about this?

Why do it?

How does one partially zap the pram?

What things are changed by the partial and full zap?
