Although it does NOT have some of the troubles that I've had with older Infocom games, I do get some crashes that necessitate system restarts. Specifically, this happens when I try to enter "simulation mode" before it's been activating. The documentation makes it sound like you get a simple warning if you try to do this, not that your machine will crash! I am concerned that there may be other, more insidious, problems waiting for me once I get into the game. My version is copyright 1985 and is release 77, serial # 850814. Does anyone know if there is a more recent version? If so, is there anyone who might be kind enough to supply me with a copy? Normally, of course, I'd go to Infocom to get an upgrade, but they're out of business by now. Thanks for any help anyone can provide. - Gil PS - I've been able to "repair" other old Infocom games with ResEdit, but this was only because they all shared a similar resource structure and I could patch in resources from newer, working games. AMFV has a different resource structure, so this particular method doesn't work. Does anyone have any ideas how I might be able to fix my AMFV with ResEdit?
