   The disk controller board in the 3130 is a Storager II, High-performance,
Multibus, Disk/Tape Controller made by Interphase.

   I had some problems with installing a 3rd party disk in our 3130 and
Interphase was very helpfull.  (It turned out the drive I bought was too
good for the old controller, so it never worked quite right.)
   You could check with them, it would probably cost less from them than
SGI.
