Any information about which models have been successfully used is welcome. Specifically we are interested to know - if there are low-level-interfaces ( pixel, scanline ) available for SGI- machines and/or Postscript-drivers, that produce output for a low-level-inter- face or talk directly to the filmrecorder. We have a lot of raster-images we can easily convert to raw-pixel-data and would like to send to the recorder as directly as possible. On the other hand it should be easy to use a postscript-file for image-description and have it sent to the recorder. It should be possible to process many slides without operator intervention ( for example over night ). - what image-quality can be expected with the different models ( effective resolution on film, color-banding... ). Please e-mail to "hafner@ifi.unizh.ch". I will post a summary. Thanks!! Michel Hafner
