Is there a way to use FAM to report if any files in a list (like a
makefile depencencies list) have changed, and trigger a make ?

Just an idle thought while waiting for make to finish.

That way while I am working, a make would be triggered by saving a file
that is the object of a dependent target. While there are lots of reasons
this is not a good idea except in program development, it might be something
to try if it is not too much work.
