Certain Sony VCRs can communicate via a protocol known as Control-L or
Control-S. This allows a computer via a serial port to control all of a
VCR's functions. I know of implementations on a Macintosh and IBM PC.

Has anyone managed to control a Sony VCR using a Sun 3/50, 3/60 or via an
ALM 16 serial board?
