Message-ID: <24762@hydra.gatech.EDU> Date: 20 Mar 91 21:43:08 GMT Sender: gt1797a@prism.gatech.EDU Organization: Georgia Institute of Technology Lines: 22 I am trying to get TeX 3.0 up and running on an IBM RISC/6000 running AIX 3.1. I have successfully bootstrapped tangle as far as I can tell. When tangle runs on tex.web (tangle tex.web ctex.ch) I get an error ! Value too big: 2550000. (l.3229) @d penalty(#) == mem[#+`].int {the added cost of breaking a list here} and then it continues. If I then run make again I get a lot errors when compliling extra.c. The first of which is null.h not found (it is called for in texd.h). The tex.web file seems to be correct for version 3.0. When I look at it the last change says 3.0. The ctex.ch file says to version 3.0. I have tried editing the make file so ctex.ch is not used, but I get the same errors. I have also tried a version of tex.web labeled 3.14, just gotten from labrea.stanford.edu and I get the same problems. HELP. Ryan Mulderig gt1797a@prism.gatech.edu or ryan@eas.gatech.edu -> preferred.
