Learning about networks and a working knowledge of C are just a few. The more emotive benefits are the people who I have met and continue to talk to. Taking a step back one can see IRC as a mini world with its own highs and lows. Im intrigued by the reactions and actions of people in general and IRC brings those to the front. Any move to restrict the use of IRC simply because of the way a few individuals use(d) it would show great short sightedness IMHO. I know a lot of people in here just dont have the time to explore things like IRC. Can we move the discussion to alt.irc and spare the admin's here another flame war?
