GhostScript crashes with a floating point exception (LONG) Keywords: ghostscript, floating point, error Message-ID: <221@hacker.UUCP> Date: 20 Mar 91 03:57:54 GMT Organization: HaL Systems, Burke, VA Lines: 56 When I invoke ghostscript (2.1.1) with the -Z option I get the following (edited) output followed by a "Floating point exception - core dumped". The program was compiled under Esix Rev D with the standard C compiler (i.e. not gcc). Can anybody explain this output to me and/or give me pointers on how to fix this? BTW, I'm not linking with the X libraries, I only want to support the HP DeskJet. Any answers? Thanks in advance. smy The DEBUG listing follows: -- [Z]main = 11c [a]409c58@20000 [a:+:0(40faa4); [d](30a)dict(1/401)0x40b878:(1c)name(0x40b898#81)null->0(40fac4); [a:+:: line ( 16383, 0) [p]free 40c2e8<20> [a:-:#gx_path_release]40c2e8(20) [p]release 40c2d0<40c2b8,40c2e8>: line ( 16383, 16383) [p]free 40c2d0<20> [a:-:#gx_path_release]40c2d0(20) [p]release 40c2b8<40c290,40c2d0>: line ( 0, 16383) [p]free 40c2b8<20> [a:-:#gx_path_release]40c2b8(20) [p]release 40c290<0,40c2b8>: start ( 0, 0) #lines=4 #curves=0 last=40c300 [p]free 40c290<36> [a:-:#gx_path_release]40c290(36) [p]Clipping path: subpaths=1, segments=4, curves=0, point=(0.000000,0.000000) box=(0.000000,0.000000),(16383.000000,16383.000000) last=40c388 cbox=(0.000000,0.000000),(16383.000000,16383.000000) 40c290<0,40c2b8>: start ( 0, 0) #lines=4 #curves=0 last=40c300 40c2b8<40c290,40c2d0>: line ( 0, 16383) 40c2d0<40c2b8,40c2e8>: line ( 16383, 16383) 40c2e8<40c2d0,40c300>: line ( 16383, 0) 40c300<40c2e8,0>: close ( 0, 0) Floating exception - core dumped
