The cover story in Datamation, 1 Feb 1991, is an article called 'UNIX
punch for PCs', featuring SCO.  SCO claims to have 350,000 UNIX and
XENIX systems out there, and claims 80% of its installed base is made
up of XENIX systems.  That makes 70,000 UNIX systems.

According to International Data Corp, SCO UNIX and XENIX captured 65% of
the Intel based UNIX market in 1989.  SCO claims 120,000 units shipped.
The article doesn't give the proportion of UNIX to the whole.  ISC, in
the same article, claims 31,000 UNIX units shipped in 1989.
