Dritschel) Newsgroups: rec.birds Subject: bird song recordings Message-ID: <7244@mentor.cc.purdue.edu> Date: 2 Mar 91 20:48:10 GMT Sender: news@mentor.cc.purdue.edu Lines: 13 One thing that has really improved my abilities as a bird watcher, and also my enjoyment of this activity, is knowing the songs of many of the birds occurring in the eastern U.S. For this I have relied primarily on the 2 record set put out I believe by the Audobon Society and following the order of the Peterson guide for the eastern U.S. In fact I didn't trully appreciate how much I had come to rely on songs as an identifaction tool until I travelled to Europe and tried bird watching there. Hence I would like to learn the songs of the various European birds and was wondering if anyone could recommend recordings and where these might be purchased. Thanks in advance.
