I've heard this phrase several times before, and to a certain extent it's true, but it doesn't solve the problem. The Bible doesn't say God will "answer prayers" - it says you ask Him to do something & He'll do it (e.g. John 16:23-24). Now there are Biblical examples of prayers which did not result in the requested result, e.g. 2 Corinthians 12:7-9. There is also "fine print" in the "prayer contract", e.g. James 1:6. Therefore, I would say that this whole thing is really somewhat of a complex issue.... We do know, however that we can have trust & confidence in God (those of us who have received Christ, that is). But I wonder what passages like John 16:23-24 really mean in light of passages like the other 2 I mentioned. GGC <><
