Message-ID: <7161@munnari.oz.au> Date: 25 Mar 91 09:42:43 GMT Sender: news@cs.mu.oz.au Reply-To: smac@munnari Lines: 18 G'day, I have a pretty urgent requirement to do hardware compression on both SUN 4/330's and 386-PC's. JPEG is the algorithm of choice. I have no trouble finding PC boards; C-Cube had a couple to recommend. In the VME world though, it's a whole new ball game. I can't find anyone planning to put C-Cube's chip on a 6U VME board. So, if you've heard of any products along these lines, I'd really like to know. Worst case, I'd be interested in alternative algorithms that provide the hardware ( read SPEED ) solution. Any help greatly appreciated, Desperately Seeking Solutions smac
