A book entitled "Relational Database Management" by M. Papazoglou and W. Valder
was published in early 1989.  In the book, the authors describe an RDBMS called
Requiem whose full design is presented.  Has anyone (other than the authors) 
ever implemented Requiem from the source in the book?  I would be interested in
hearing of other's experiences with Requiem.
