We are now upgrading our Informix ESQL/C software from Release 2.10 to release 4. We know that, starting from release 3, transaction management is fully required in order to execute cursor operations and data modify statements ( ie: update, insert, delete...). Under release 2.10 you may not use begin and commit work statements even if you are running a STARTed database without any error. Is this the same under new versions ? Anyone could help me ? Thanks a lot peter -- **************************************************************************** Peter Komanns - SINDATA srl - Vimercate - ITALY Phone (voice) +39,39,6083733 (fax)+39,39,60,83,957 SUBLINK:peter@cucciolo BANG:..!yachaya!gongolo!cucciolo!peter ****************************************************************************
