Date: Wed, 27 Mar 91 19:26:08 GMT Lines: 14 I'm having a problem with Mitsuba 2400 baud modems. It appears that the autobauding via the AT command is not real reliable, as some terminals I have tried when set to 2400 baud will cause the HS (high speed) light to go out and the modem will not establish connection at 2400. Identically set up terminals will work consistently. The terminals I am using are DEC VT-220 and VT240, set to VT100 mode, 8bit, no parity and 1 Stop bit. I have tried 7-E-1 also. There are no phone numbers or addresses supplied with the Mitsuba modems, only the marking "made in Korea". Somebody said if they don't work so well, maybe that's why they're so cheap. Geeezzz. -- John Stigall - Indiana University Computing Services Network 750 N. State Rd. 46 Bypass, Bloomington, Indiana 47405 (812)855-9255 stigall@ucs.indiana.edu
