Lines: 28 Hi All !!! I am a British student currently on a BSc Computing Science degree at Imperial. I am planning to go to the States to do a Masters in Computing Science next year. I'm applying to Berkeley and maybe CMU. I would be grateful if anyone could answer the following questions, specific and general: 1) How competitive is it trying for a place on one of these courses ? 2) What is the social life like for graduates ? (esp. Berkeley) 3) What is the course like - intensive/ok/boring ? ( esp. Berkeley) Also, on the off-chance, would it be a reasonable to assume that one needs at least an upper-second class (2.1) degree (British degree system) to be accep- ted? I would appreciate answers to these questions and also any other info. that anyone on a Masters course may think is relevant. Thanks, HARPREET
