	I'm new to EMACS (I just installed it on our system).  I'm
running VMS 5.3 on VAX.  I've been trying to learn and understand
the basics of EMACS before I let it loose on the general user
community. I have a couple of questions if anyone can help me with
them I'd appreciate it.

1) If someone could email a copy of their .emacs file with some
explanation I'd appreciate it.

2) Does anyone know if there is code for VMS emacs to implement dired,
mail, spelling correction, or for printing?  If so, where can I get
the source?

3) How can I tell which terminal type emacs "thinks" I'm using?  Or
how can I tell it to use another?
