The best way of describing what happens is by practical example: This is an experiment for you to perform. In between the cut here lines is a message file - please extract it, knock out the leading # (inserted just in case something funny happens in transit) and stick the result in a little test elm ~/Mail folder. Climb into elm, change to this folder and do a group reply to the message. Instead of sending it (:-), edit the headers and take careful note of what the cc: addresses have turned into...... (please, oh please use 'f' and not 's' when the experiment is complete). =================== c u t h e r e ============================== #From proxima!frcs!paul@Daisy.EE.UND.AC.ZA Wed Mar 27 11:48:44 1991 Return-Path: Message-Id: From: frcs!paul (Paul Nash) Subject: Re: Mail paths To: ccfj@hippo.ru.ac.za (F.F. Have a look at the generated cc: headers from the 'g'roup reply. Look any better? You bet.... OK, whats going on here? Explanations invited! Enquiring minds are enquiring! -- F.F.
