Katz (Xpert)) Newsgroups: comp.mail.sendmail Subject: unusable mail headers - help! Message-ID: Date: 25 Mar 91 15:16:25 GMT Sender: amir@pilat.Silvaco.Com Distribution: comp Organization: Silvaco Israel Ltd. Lines: 32 My configuration is: - SunOS 4.1.1 - SparcStation IPC - Mail comes via uucp from a remote site 'taux01.nsc.com'. In my incoming mail (from external senders), the 'From:' and 'Return-Path:' fields do not contain the real sender's machine but user@taux01.nsc.com and I have to read the full mail message trying to trace where the message originated (unless, of course, if the sender posted his mailing address). The only change I have put into the 'sendmail.cf' from the original Sun-supplied 'sendmail.main.cf' is the DR and CR lines which specify 'taux01'. Where did I go wrong and how can I get it fixed? I have RTFM'ed, but sendmail is not for everybody. Please e-mail to me, using the address below. -- Thanks in advance, -- Amir J.
