   My favorite all-purpose gunk remover is automotive "Bug & Tar
Remover". It removes all kinds of stuff (especially adhesives)
and usually will not harm paint or plastic (although I haven't
tried it on a diskette). Mine came from Turtle Wax, but there are
other brands.
 
   But your real problem is that you're not using removable
labels. I don't know if they're made specifically for disks, but
you can get generic ones at office-supply stores, in various
shapes and sizes.
