I does not see why a splitup is necessary. The current load is low
and even in the good old days of upgrading to 1.5.?? there were no
problems by having patches and "normal" articles in one group. The
splitup will possibly make life easier for some archive administrators
but more complicated for the most of us because we have to read
both groups to be up to date.
