Well, it would have been easier for me to deal with it. Automatically saving source postings for later perusal while being able to quickly see and respond to requests for information... (Actually, back then I didn't know enough about Minix to respond, now I just think that I do. :-) >The splitup will possibly make life easier for some archive administrators I think so as well and have said so in the past. Still it hasn't been completely clear to me that the archive administrators agree with me. If they really don't think it will make a difference, maybe we shouldn't bother. I think it would help me, but I'm more concerned about making it easier for true archive administrators. (I just save stuff for my own use.) >but more complicated for the most of us because we have to read >both groups to be up to date. [sarcasm on] Huh? You have to read a WHOLE 'nuther group. This generally requires hitting "y" or maybe the return key when your news reading program presents you with the name of the "other" group. You might also have to edit your .newsrc file once in order to put the two group names next to each other so you are sure to read both of them at the same time. This is obviously more complicated then typical users of Minix are capable of managing. [sarcasm off] And nothing else to say. Bill Bogstad
