I was able to run 5.0 without any problem. However I have had all sorts of problems running 5.1, many similar to what has been mentioned above. In addition I have had screen freezes, keyboard lockups occur when I attempt to print. (printer is a brother 1709 using that emulation). It will sometimes fail to print part of a document as well. My SS286 has 1Mb expanded memory set up as 512K for a disk cache (Norton 5.0) and 512K of expanded memory. I have 5.1 installed on a number of other machines, including PS/2's and an HP Vectra ES/12, using the same printer and definition, without any similar problems. Also the SS286 seems to run all other applications just fine. --- -------------------------------------------------------- Stephen Guerke, Coord.
