I find it useful, since I know of programs whose overlays are not .OV? extensions. (anyone remember Turbo Pascal version 3 and lower? It used .000, .001, etc... for overlays) And it may very well be possible to put virusses in documents for some high- end word processor's documents, although I don't think a scanning program would find it easilly.
