Message-ID: Date: 27 Mar 91 08:25:14 GMT Sender: bbs@coyote.datalog.com (Waffle System) Organization: Datalog Consulting, Tucson, AZ Lines: 13 GlobalCompact never returns more than .8 on our 8 meg extended memory 486 running Windows. (This happens in an application we are developing or by modifying Petzold's FREEMEM program slightly.) Is something wrong? I thought GlobalCompact returned the amount of available memory in the global heap. CONFIG.SYS contains HIMEM.SYS. Trying other /M options with HIMEM.SYS doesn't work. Any thoughts?
