I have been using the 296N for a year now, and have yet to have ANY problems with it. I have the ST02 controller, and the performance suffers because of this, but the drive has worked quite well. However, it DOES have a tendancy to make some REALLY strange and unnerving noises at times... I'll probably add a Micropolis drive to it this summer, and see how it works out then. Get a REAL controller with it. ./*- -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ storm@cs.mcgill.ca McGill University It's 11pm, do YOU Marc Wandschneider Montreal, CANADA know what time it is? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
