	I am interested in hearing from current or past members of
	IEEE as to the benefits of membership, particularly in the
	area of what I believe is their Robotics and Automation

	1) Is the R&A group a subgroup of a subgroup, eg. part
	   of the IEEE Computer Society, or some other "major"
	   group within the parent body?

	2) What are the requirements for membership?
	   a) academic
	   b) sponsorship

	3) Is the group a productive, respected participant in
	   industry evolution and growth?

	4) Are the IEEE publications still a good source of current
	   technical information?

	5) What standards in the automation arena have come out of
	   committees or groups within R&A?
