I examined the same output (square wave etc) on the 2 external channels on a dual trace scope and they seemed to change at exactly the same time. (Which might not be exact enough for the ear). Note that I sampled the output shortly after it comes from Paula, NOT the final result that comes out of the case, which is harder to analyze.
