Lines: 19 I've seen NoiseTracker, MED, SoundTracker, and several other mutations, and one thought always enters my mind: is it THAT difficult to create such a program that uses Intuition as it was meant to be used? I thought the idea of a GUI (especially the AmigaOS 2.0) was to make program interfaces that looked similar to other programs, thereby flattening the learning curve and speeding up productivity. Every time I fire up the latest *tracker to come down the bitstream, I'm reminded of programs on my old C64 - proprietary interfaces, lo-res screens, and all. As the old adage goes, "it's easy if you know how". I don't know if this is a flame or not - I'd like to think of it as constructive criticism. I use MED right now, grudgingly. If the author(s) of this program would implement the amazing features and abilities it has (or rather, those I've heard it has) into something I can get at easily, it would be a joy to use, and might move from a funky musichacker's tool into a truly commercial-quality product. -Mark Gardner markg@undrground.uucp
