Sometimes the "library not found" error occurs on either one. I've found that if I do a STATUS and check whether PCDisk is running I know whether it's going to happen. If PCDisk didn't start up, any attempt to get to the bridge board will fail. Even if you try to explicitly RUN PCDisk it won't come up. The only solution is to re-boot and hope it works this time. I've included a STATUS (actually ps, I'm using Matt's shell) in my startup-sequence so I know whether I should reboot. If I had the time I'd write a program that would do the check and reboot if necessary. Sometimes it's necessary to reboot two or three times, but eventually it'll come up. Some people have suggested inserting delays in the startup-sequence to give things time to stabilize. I experimented with this, but got no consistent results aside from slower reboots. I've come to accept the whole thing as one of those minor irritants that I must learn to live with. Fortunately, if I manage to get it up once, it'll stay up as long as the machine has power. I've heard rumours of a new set of PALs that's supposed to currect the problem, but my dealer's heard nothing but "Real Soon Now..." for the past year and can't dig up any more on it. Sigh...
