My warranty finally expired (thanks for 1 year!) on my 2500/30. I have two drives which would occasionally hang, even with reselection properly disabled. I brought the computer in (a major hassle, a town away) for whatever was the latest rom upgrade. It is still 6.1. Two points about 6.1 roms, from trials: One, reselection is still not supported. I managed to hang the scsi bus in one try. It does seem to work with reselection disabled. This was a big disappointment, though, because reselection is SCSI's way of getting decent performance out of multiple drives. I hear a new rom (6.6?) is being worked on that fixes the reselection bug. I'm hoping it will still be covered by warranty, or at least _real_ cheap. any word on release dates? (I'd be glad to test beta roms 8^) dylan -- dylan mcnamee / "Ten Years After WWIV...there wasn't much to do; dylan@cs.washington.edu \/all the bowling alleys were wrecked, so I spent most of my time looking for beer" from Strange Brew
