When invoked via cron, I get the following log messages: uucp dinosaur (3/28-14:07:03,8439,0) LOST LINE (LOGIN) uucp dinosaur (3/28-14:07:03,8439,0) FAILED (LOGIN FAILED) uucp dinosaur (3/28-14:07:04,8439,0) LOST LINE (LOGIN) uucp dinosaur (3/28-14:07:04,8439,0) FAILED (LOGIN FAILED) uucp dinosaur (3/28-14:07:04,8439,0) CONN FAILED (CALLER SCRIPT FAILED) When invoked interactively by root or a normal user, the call succeeds. So what is it about cron that is causing this to fail? Facts: HP/Apollo 400 Domain OS 10.3 /dev/tty01 connected to TrailBlazerPlus/T2000 modem uugetty against tty01 uucico script fails whether invoked with root or uucp privs Many thanks.
